Oklava Café is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with such a warm and cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. The food is outstanding, full of authentic flavors and clearly made with love and care.
A very special thank you to Nur, who truly made the experience unforgettable.
If you’re visiting Oklava, you must try the triangle pistachios they are absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced and pair them with their Turkish tea, which is rich, comforting, and the perfect finish.

OMG I LOVE this place. The mochas are literally the best in town, so I go out of my way specifically for a mocha from here. The staff are what make this place a destination—warm, in a somewhat cool Silicon Valley town—the staff is alive and greet customer with old-world hospitality. They serve with the genuine desire to make your experience the very best possible! Highly recommended as a spot to hang, work or chat with friends over a quaint and elegant table. Or a place to meet strangers at the communal table (happens all the time). Again—best mochas in town 😍

I visited Oklava on May 6, 2026, with a couple of friends for an abaya photo shoot we were having for our friend’s boutique. The manager, Omer, and the entire staff were incredibly kind, respectful, and welcoming, making us feel right at home as we enjoyed our beverages and pastries. I ordered the pistachio kunefe, one of my favorite desserts, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was peaceful, and the cafe itself was clean and dreamy, which really enhanced the overall experience.

When it comes to American coffee shops, I have one simple rule: anyone who can pour a decent tulip on my latte automatically earns 4 stars. It’s sooo hard to find places in the U.S. that get latte art right—we barely even try!
Now, back to the point: Oklava Cafe is truly unique—one of a kind in Palo Alto. Great coffee, really good pastries, and a clear sense of identity. It’s a breath of fresh air among all the chain stores in the area.
I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

I’ve come here literally >10 times. One of my favorite spots in Palo Alto. I’ve tried probably 90% of the desserts behind the glass counter. My favorite is the kataifi with pistachio, muska shape with pistachio, and the Turkish breakfast and their kunefe! Their tea is fantastic too. I love getting their Turkish breakfast on a weekend for brunch. It’s a delicious plate and the simit is delicious too. The staff is always nice as well, I think some of them are starting to recognize me and my boyfriend because of how often we come. The only downside is that their cafe is a little small for how popular it is. But I see they are expanding to outdoor seating! I’ll be coming back again and again. I have too many photos as evidence that I love it here. One of my favorite additions to Palo Alto in recent years

On a Saturday morning, my wife and I decided to have Turkish breakfast at Oklava Café. Now we cannot wait for Saturday to come to go back and have our Turkish breakfast again. Everything on the plate was so tasty. The portions were generous. The Turkish tea made everything even more delicious.
Also highly recommend the 3 cheese borek, which reminded me of my grandma’s recipe from my childhood.
If you’re looking for a lively, yet chill and cozy atmosphere with delicious food and deserts along with friendly people and amazing service, make Oklava Cafe part of your regular stops in Palo Alto.

A little slice of Istanbul right in the neighborhood! ☕️
This spot is incredible and full of authentic Turkish treats - the coffee is bold and the sweets are dangerous (in the best way possible). Everything I tasted was delicious. The atmosphere is so friendly and relaxing that it honestly feels more like a living room than a cafe.
Warning 😉: You might come in for a quick coffee and end up staying for two hours. It’s just that cozy! ❤️

I absolutely love this place! It’s my go-to spot for getting work done, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The coffee, food, and pastries are always fresh and delicious. Nur and Mo are incredibly kind and always greet us warmly, which makes every visit feel special. I also love bringing my friends here, they always enjoy it as much as I do. One of my favorite things is that they’re open late, making it the perfect spot to settle in and be productive at night. It’s truly a beautiful café that I always look forward to coming back to. Been coming here for 2 or so years now, so would definitely recommend!

Dear Oklava Cafe Management/Owner
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experience my sister and I had at your cafe tonight. As loyal customers since you first opened, Oklava cafe remains our top choice in Palo Alto.
We were particularly impressed by your new manager, Ms. Nur, her commitment to outstanding service was evident from the moment we arrived. She is remarkably attentive to your customer's needs, and I personally appreciated her attention to detail in ensuring each and every customer gets the best service.
The entire staff deserves recognition as well. Our servers and baristas are consistently knowledgeable and offer excellent recommendations. We would also like to commend Ms Nur for her politeness and genuine kindness that made a lasting impression on us and these are a major reasons we continue to return. I recall Mr. Taha Tunahan’s management style was very nice as well.
The quality of your food and Turkish breakfast remains excellent—beautifully presented and made with fresh ingredients. This, combined with the elegant yet comfortable atmosphere, makes for a wonderful dining experience.
Please share this feedback with Ms. Nur and the rest of the team. Their professionalism and hospitality are truly first-class, and I will continue to recommend Oklava to others.
We look forward to our next visit.
Best regards,
H. Lotfi

I came here on Saturday night after dinner. I love the large selection of coffee, food, and desserts. I ordered the Turkish coffee, which served with a small piece of sweet dessert and a glass of sparkling water. The staff was so nice. They explained to me how to drink it and talked about the difference between the types of food items. The shop has a few tables inside with a big bench and stools, and felt quite cosy. It also has seating outside. It's centrally located. I will definitely come back to try out their other desserts.
